For me, filmmaking brings together my passions for writing and the curation of the visual image. I utilise filmmaking to bring a new facet of emotion to my storytelling. I am currently coming to the end of my second year of a BA in Film and TV Production at UAL's London College of Communication, and I was lucky enough to study a BFI course in documentary filmmaking, on their prestigious BFI Academy programme. On this project, named 'Being Me' I took on the roles of camera operator, contributor, graphic designer and editor. I have also completed an NFTS course in screenwriting, and worked on a music video for Manoel Akure's creative team. On this project, I shot and edited the behind the scenes video, and was an assistant director of photography on the music video. I have also completed six months of work experience as a photo studio assistant in Future Publishing's photo studios. In this time, I got the opportunity to entirely set up and shoot an editorial for T3 magazine, which used my images in the main feature. I am intensely passionate about storytelling, in the form of fiction, poetry and filmmaking, and I spend all of my time devoting myself to my creative projects.
